Quick Walkthrough

1. Conclude the preceding quest by talking to Strabos in Merchants Plaza.
2. Talk to Serenas in Maadoran Palace.
3. Talk to Senna or Lorenza (optional, depending on your choices in the previous quest)
4. Report back to Strabos.

Detailed Walkthrough

1. Conclude the preceding quest by talking to Strabos in Merchants Plaza.
2. Talk to Serenas in the Maadoran Palace.
   1. Tell him Strabos is expecting payment in return.
      • Persuasion=[6], "My lord, master Strabos is a proven and capable administrator..."
      • "I'm truly sorry about your uncle, my lord..."
        • Streetwise+Charisma=[15] "Learn from your uncle's mistakes, my lord... In the end, it was his downfall..."
        • Streetwise=[6] "Lord? Your uncle was a lord... Go back on your word and you won't make it through the night. Are we clear?"
        • If you fail the checks, he will have you killed for threatening him
      • Etiquette=[6], "I beg forgiveness, my Lord. My master is nothing but the humblest of your servants..."
   2. Tell him that Strabos wants to run the city
      • Persuasion+Etiquette=[11] or Streetwise+Charisma=[15] to support your argument for Strabos.
      • If in previous quest you gave Hamza the name of Lorenza or Senna, you will be informed that the surviving conspirator has already been named by Serenas to govern of the city
   3. Convince him that Strabos is perfect for the job
      • Persuasion=[7] Strabos works harder than nobles.
      • Etiquette+Streetwise=[12] Appointing Strabos test your subjects' true loyalties.
      • Persuasion+Streetwise=[12] Where two are fighting, give to the third to avoid angering anyone.
      • Streetwise+Etiquette=[10] Have Lady Lorenza mentor Strabos (if you gave her your word earlier).
        1. Ask Lorenza for a reward.
           • 10,000 imperials.
           • Old trinkets (option to start side quest).
           • A favour .
3. Talk to Senna (if he was appointed to govern the city)
   1. Convince him to share power with strabos.
      • Intelligence:[8]+Persuasion:[6], "Because we bring money to the table and running a city this size isn’t cheap."
        • If you failed, Streetwise:[7]
      • Streetwise+Trading=[12], "Because you don’t want to leave your future allies wondering whether they’ll get screwed like Strabos. It's bad for business."
        • If you failed, Persuasion:[7]
      • "Have you forgotten already what happened to Gaelius?"
        • He will have you killed for threatening him.
4. Talk to Lorenza (if she was appointed to govern the city)
   • Ask for a reward (if you gave her your word earlier)
     1. Streetwise:[6], "I held him back. It wasn't easy."
        • 10,000 imperials.
          • She will claim that you deserve only 3,000 imperials. You can try to haggle with her for 5,000, but she will always refuse.
        • Old trinkets (option to start side quest).
        • A favour
   • Convince her to share power with Strabos. If you gave her your word earlier, you will gain Loyalty but lose Word of Honor
     1. Persuasion:[7], "You think you can do it alone, but the simple truth is you can’t."
        • Alternatively, Intelligence:[7]+Streetwise:[6] if you did not gave her your word earlier
     2. Persuasion+Trading=[13], "Money and power at a reasonable cost..."
5. Report back to Strabos.

Rewards

• -2 Loyalty and +1 Word of Honor, if you put Lorenza in charge as promised
• +1 Loyalty and -2 Word of Honor, if you break your word and don't put Lorenza in charge
• +2 Reputation with Commercium, if you place Lorenza in charge
• +4 Reputation with Commercium, if you place Strabos in charge
• 1+3 civil SP, if you place Lorenza in charge
• 5 civil SP, if you place Strabos in charge
• 25 SP (at Intelligence 9) and 500 imperials, regardless of choice
• Ask Lorenza for a reward.
  • 10,000 or 3,000 imperials.
  • Old trinkets (option to start side quest).
  • A favour .
