Healing Machine (Quest) is a side quest in Maadoran.

He spent years looking for the parts, which is how it came to my attention. In fact," says Lorenza smiling knowingly, "he acquired the last part very recently. Levir and young woman

1. Spy on Levir.
   1. Learn that Levir is seeking medical treatment and there's only one dose and thus one attempt.
2. Decide to show yourself or leave.
3. Decide to fight or leave.
   1. "It's nothing person, Levir." (fight)
   2. Critical Strike:[6] at closest thug.
   3. "Alright, I'm leaving." (leave)
4. Talk to the young woman.

   

   Iola

   1. Introduces herself as Iola.
   2. Learn that it is a healing machine.
      • Levir had an incurable disease.
      • The jar works at the cell level.
      • Question Iola if healing is the only function.
5. Decide to accept or reject her offer.
   • Pay her 2,500 imperials.
   • She'll be at the Maadoran Inn if you would reconsider.
6. Go for treatment or look at machine.
   • Take treatment. Constitution +1.
   • Look at machine ^{see: Bugged Sequence}.
     • (hidden) Lore:[4] check.
       1. You recall that the magi used crystals in their devices. Something about oscillations and responding to energy.
       2. (hidden) Crafting+Lore:[12] check, Crafting+Lore:[12] "When you use a console, you send a current of power to the right crystal... This is how they switched from one mode to another".
       3. Intelligence+Crafting:[16] "Leave it to me." Attempt to hotwire the machine.
       4. Gains 4 civil SP and two additional options.
          • Improve your muscular density. Strength +1.
          • Improve your combat reflexes. Dexterity +1.
          • Improve your endurance. Constitution +1.
     • Take treatment. Constitution +1.

Other Notes

If you already have 10 Constitution when you use the machine then you will gain +10 maximum HP instead.

Bugged Sequence

If you don't pay Iola straight away, she'll appear at the Inn. If you choose to pay her, you may continue this quest.

However, if you ask to look at the machine, there's a bug where you'll be jumped by an ambush by five men sent by Bassar. After this, you will not be able to continue the quest.
