The Age of Decadence is a pseudo-isometric 3D turn-based computer role-playing game by Iron Tower Studio. Set in a low-magic post-apocalyptic world inspired by the fall of the Roman Empire, The Age of Decadence promises to return to the golden era of RPGs emphasizing choices and consequences, a comprehensive skill set, multiple solutions to quests, and extensive dialogue trees.
The game was released on October 14, 2015 simultaneously on Steam and GOG[1].
Distribution[]
Prior to release, the game was set to costs about $25 direct download, $50 for a box (plus shipping). Age Of Decadence was to be available on Steam but not immediately after release. Boxed version was to include a full color, professionally produced box, full color glossy manual, full color glossy map and the aforementioned CD case.
Eventually AoD was released on Steam, Gamers Gate, and Good Old Games.
Demo[]
The demo consists of one major location (Teron) and two sub-locations; it contains over 20 quests and 6 mini-quests, per playthrough of the demo the player will be able to accomplish 5-6 quests depending on playing style and in-game choices, so the demo can be replayed in different ways, just like the full game. The content included in the demo is not limited in any way, only Alchemy is not implemented in the beta, and various aspects of it are a subject for improvements. Teron contains roughly 20-25% of the full game's content.
Other Platforms[]
There were plans to do Linux and Mac versions, assuming that studio won't run into serious problems with Torque. No iPad release as Torque 3D is not available on iPad.
