The Bodyguard

The Bodyguard is one of the quests for Imperial Guards in The Age of Decadence.

You were assigned to protect Master Strabos, the guildmaster of the Commercium, in exchange for vital information. You can find him in Trade District.

- You can try to convince Strabos to reveal vital information before the fight (optional)
  1. You need Streetwise:[2]+Trading:[2]=[6] and Persuasion:[2]+Trading:[2]=[7] as well as Word of Honor:[1] in order to make him trust you
  2. If you've done this, you can skip the fight and report back to Pavola
  3. Unless you convince Pavola (Persuasion:[4] or Streetwise:[4]), he will let Strabos die. This will cause you to lose -1 Word of Honor. If you persuade him, he will give Strabos more guards, saving his life and increasing your Word of Honor by 1 but decreasing your Imperial Guards reputation by 1
Kill Hamza
1. Alternatively: Let Hamza kill Strabos (betrayal)
  - Effects: House Aurelian Reputation +2, Commercium Reputation +8, Imperial Guards Reputation -2
2. Doing so will allow you to swear fealty to Gaelius and become a Praetor of House Aurelian
  1. Effects: House Aurelian Reputation +5, House Crassus Reputation -1, House Daratan Reputation -3, Imperial Guards Reputation -7, Loyalty -3, Prestige +2
  2. Gaelius will also give you Fetching An Army quest
