The Package

The Package is a minor quest available in the city of Maadoran.

Quick Walkthrough

1. Talk to a youth in the west of Maadoran Arena, outside of the pathways to Maadoran Slums.
2. Talk to Neros in a tavern north of Maadoran Slums.
3. Depending on the option you choose, you will have to find Calvus in the Noble Homes district.
4. Talk to Calvus in the marble house besides Lady Lorenza's home and choose how you will settle your affair.

Detailed Walkthrough

1. In the west of Maadoran Arena, outside of the pathways to Maadoran Slums, you will encounter a youth who inquires you to deliver a package to Neros.
2. Neros is located in the tavern in northern part of the slums.
3. When you talk to Neros, you will have the option to deliver the package.
   1. The package is revealed to be a bomb. Neros will die from the resulting explosion when attempting to open the package. You will also lose 15 HP in the resulting explosion as well (With Perception:[10] you only lose 5 HP).
      1. Neros' guards will arrive. You have the option to persuade the guards and reveal the person delivering the package is known as Calvus.
      2. Alternatively, if you were affiliated with the Boatmen of Styx, the guards would jump to the conclusion and attack you without revealing the detail.
   2. Alternatively, if you pass Traps=[5], you would have the option to identify the package as a bomb before Neros open it.
      1. If you opt to tell Neros what the package contains, Neros will give you 100 imperials for letting him know.
      2. Neros will reveal the person delivering the package is known as Calvus.
         1. You can choose to leave, or you can insist through a Trading skill check to ask Neros for more money.
         2. Regardless of your Trading skill, Neros will refuse to pay further, and you can opt to kill him and his bodyguards.
   3. As a second alternative, if you opt to hand it over anyway while knowing what the package contains, the package would explode after Neros opened it, and Neros' guards would arrive, resulting in the same scenario if you didn't pass the skill check.
4. If you managed to reveal the identity of Calvus, you would find out he resides in the Noble Homes district. If you didn't, the quest would end there as the youth disappears. If you were affiliated with the Boatmen of Styx, you had to reveal Calvus' identity by telling Neros and murder Neros if you wanted to confront Calvus. Revealing Calvus' identity without murdering Neros would not let you to confront Calvus.
5. You can find Calvus in the marble house besides Lady Lorenza's home.
6. You can choose to receive money as a compensation or murder Calvus with his father as a punishment.
   1. If you choose money, you will be paid 400 Imperials and the quest ends here.
   2. If you choose murder, you will fight Calvus and his father. After they were killed, you will get options to loot the bodies or leave immediately.
      1. If you stay, the guards will attempt to apprehend you. You can choose to:
         1. Pay 3000 Imperials for the guards to turn a blind eye.
         2. Pay 1000 Imperials for a pardon and have you kicked out of the city.
         3. Refuse to pay and be executed.
         4. If you're an Aurelian praetor, you can claim that you uncovered a treason plot and killed the conspirators. This gets you off with no fee, but loses some House Aurelian reputation.
         5. if you're an Imperial Guard, you can say you did it as a show of force, and lose rep with Aurelian and guard.
      2. If you leave, the you will be transported to the back side of the home.
7. Either way, the quest ends there.
